Support Services

The CMNSSL training programmes are extremely broad based and flexible and can be changed to meet the client's needs. The programmes are individually designed and provide a precise level of training. Separate course programmes are developed to meet the operational and maintenance requirements of naval ships crews and naval base maintenance personnel. Continuation training programmes can also be provided usually in the client's own country.

Modern warships are very sophisticated and complex. The ability of the client's personnel to correctly operate and maintain such ships is of paramount importance to operational success. CMNSSL provides highly qualified instructors, many of whom are former naval personnel with long experience in training international navies. This depth of expertise ensures that training is provided to the highest standards.

When training is provided for ships constructed at the CMN shipyard in Cherbourg the training courses are delivered at a dedicated training centre located in the shipyard complex. There is also a purpose built residential accommodation centre for the use of the client's trainee personnel.

Courses are also provided in technical colleges in the United Kingdom and at the training facilities of major ship equipment suppliers. Harbour and sea training is given in ships following completion and acceptance from the shipbuilder.
